Shelter for Battered Women

Winner of the “World Architecture Festival 2016” award  

This building, a collaboration between Amos Goldreich Architecture and Jacobs-Yaniv Architects , will be named after Ada and Tamar de Shalit.
It was initiated by No2Violence and will answer for the specific requirements of such a project.
Normally homes are improvised in existing buildings and fortunately this new home will be suited especially for the mothers and children who desperately need a place to live safely. A thorough investigation of existing homes led to the programmatic layout which will hopefully ease the lives of the people for whom it is built.
