Cut Out Box
This house, for a family of 6 and a dog, addresses the challenge of optimizing building space in a relatively dense residential neighbourhood. The garden plays a central role as it is designed with great attention and integrated also in 3 terraces that formulate cutouts in a straightforward box. In order to optimize daylight and fresh air, the box is cut out also from its roof with skylights that bring in daylight most hours of the day. The material and colour palette of the house is strongly connected to the garden, to the ground and to light, and is based on natural materials mainly.
